Senior Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Hardeep Singh is a renowned Senior Consultant Psychiatrist with 25 years of experience in the field of metal health. He heads the team at NDDRC, the first private psychiatry hospital in Chandigarh set up in 2001, and is Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at Department of Psychiatry / Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences at Fortis Hospital, Mohali that he set up in 2001 as well.
He has done his MBBS from Government Medical College, Patiala (1996) and his MD Psychiatry from PGIMER Chandigarh (2001). He is the Chairperson for the NDDR Foundation that is an NGO helping poor patients. Adult psychiatry and addiction psychiatry are of special interest to him. He’s a pioneer in the UROD procedure for the addiction from opioids and has conducted a study on “Comparison of Quality of Life of Opioid Dependent / Alcohol Dependent population and their family members” at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
He has published a case series on “Response in Schizoaffective Disorder with Endoxifen”, and conducted a series on mental health radio and TV shows over last almost 2 decades. He has carried out peer review of several articles in publications, contributed articles to newspapers and presented papers at various national and international psychiatry meets. He provides mentorship to several psychiatrists and psychologist in the region. He has been the president of Indian Psychiatry Society (Pb. & Chd. chapter) and Tri City Psychiatrist Association.
He is Fellow, Indian Indian Psychiatric Society and Indian Association of Private Psychiatry, and International Fellow, American Psychiatric Association.
